Horseback Riding

You may find some of the best views in Colorado are while riding the trail on horseback at Circle K Ranch. This method of travel provides for a peaceful, yet adventurous experience during your stay. The most popular, Rio Lado Creek, ride allows for a short ride along the Dolores River and then up the trail through old growth spruce and aspen groves over a 2 hour time frame.

Golf

The Telluride Golf Club is located in scenic Mountain Village at The Peaks Resort.

New golf carts, equipped with state-of-the-art Global Positioning System (GPS), assists golfers as they navigate their way around the course, which accentuates the mountain terrain as meandering fairways wind through aspen groves, towering pines, mountain ponds and sparkling streams.  The Telluride Golf Club was constructed in 1992 and serves as a private club for members as well as a public course for locals and guests.

Fly Fishing

Telluride's rivers provide some of the best trout fishing in the Rocky Mountains.  Near Telluride, the San Miguel, Dolores, Uncompahgre and Gunnison offer unique fly fishing opportunities, and a network of lakes, ponds and alpine creeks offer even more.

Half day walk & wade

A menu of public fly fishing on the San Miguel, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison rivers is offered. Lakes, ponds, and alpine creeks offer even more choices. Prices include flies on all trips, and top quality rental equipment is available for guests who need gear.

Telluride Historical Museum

The Telluride Historical Museum offers engaging annual exhibitions alongside the Museum’s permanent collection of artifacts from the region’s Ute heritage, robust mining history, and ski and festival history.
