Mountain Biking

Telluride is surrounded by an extensive network of single track bike trails and old mining roads great for every skill level from beginners to the most advanced riders. Push the limits on one of Telluride’s classic single track trails, or take a scenic ride on Telluride’s valley floor alongside the San Miguel River. Telluride is the perfect place to rent a bike and explore the mountains or join an experienced guide on a personal tour catered to your skill level and interests.

Golf

The Telluride Golf Club is located in scenic Mountain Village at The Peaks Resort.

New golf carts, equipped with state-of-the-art Global Positioning System (GPS), assists golfers as they navigate their way around the course, which accentuates the mountain terrain as meandering fairways wind through aspen groves, towering pines, mountain ponds and sparkling streams.  The Telluride Golf Club was constructed in 1992 and serves as a private club for members as well as a public course for locals and guests.

Telluride Historical Museum

The Telluride Historical Museum offers engaging annual exhibitions alongside the Museum’s permanent collection of artifacts from the region’s Ute heritage, robust mining history, and ski and festival history. Ten rooms, each with their own theme, showcase these different aspects of Telluride history. Hands-on, interactive, and rotating displays engage all the senses, giving visitors new experiences each visit.

Ropes Course

After Labor Day, the Ropes Course will be open Saturday and Sunday only through Sunday, Sept. 9th.

Wagner Custom Skis Factory Tour

Join Wagner Custom Skis and Snowboards for a private tour of their sustainable ski factory in the center of Mountain Village. CEO Pete Wagner will walk through his custom ski process, all while taking a look at what sets Wagner Custom apart from other ski manufacturers. Pete will show the different materials that are used to build varying ski types, and the different stages of custom ski production. Join us for an afternoon of winter envy at the Wagner factory. This custom tour will last roughly an hour.

River Tubing

Bring your tube and float down the slow moving San Miguel River to cool off on a hot summer day.  Many local retailers rent tubes, or you can purchase tubes at Ace Hardware located on main street.

Family Excursions

Treat your friends and family to an adventure-packed overnight trip of mountaineering and glamping or join guided family hikes or mini camps and learn about life zones, tree identification, geology, birds, wildflowers and local human history. Eco Adventures is located inside the ski school at the base of the gondola in Mountain Village.
