Mountain Trip is permitted to guide the Wilson Group of 14,000' peaks, or "14ers" that stand tall on the skyline to the west of Telluride. These routes feature some technical sections, large elevation gain and rough, unmaintained trail but offers a very rewarding summit views and a feeling of true accomplishment in the mountains. Horseback Riding

You may find some of the best views in Colorado are while riding the trail on horseback at Circle K Ranch. This method of travel provides for a peaceful, yet adventurous experience during your stay. The most popular, Rio Lado Creek, ride allows for a short ride along the Dolores River and then up the trail through old growth spruce and aspen groves over a 2 hour time frame.

Paragliding

Truly one of Telluride’s TOP-RATED activities! This all ages adventure will deliver on an experience of a lifetime. The physical ability to run for just a few seconds at take-off and again at landing is the only requirement. Other than that, sit back and enjoy the ride!

Tandem flights with our local guides are sure to please. Flight times are daily from 7am – 10am. Meeting location is the San Sophia Station (top of gondola) and the most popular flight option is the 1 hour (approximate) Milk Run flight. See below for both options and costs.

Nature Center

The Nature Center is open 9-4 daily beginning June 5th through September 3rd in 2017. We will be closed July 4th.

At the St. Sophia Nature Center you'll find information on hiking and biking trails, weather expectations and local ecosystems to help prepare you for your adventures in the area.  Interpretive displays include:  geology, animal tracks and signs, pelts and skulls, Native American history & water use.
